Concertina
Book making
The first thing I did was choose my photographs I would have in the concertina itself for these, the photos need to be in square format, and so I selected my images and cropped them as you can see above and I did that for all of them so that they could fit into the template.
I dropped the images into photoshop and cropped them against the guidelines and I tried to sequence them and I think it works quite well like this. I am not too familiar working with square format photography but experimenting to see what works and what doesn't how it fits in with the flow with the rest of my project.
Making the Concertina
What you will need:

-Cutting matt
-Scalpel
-Pencil
-Ruler
-Card
I printed off the image and then, I scored lines between each of the images in the middle and for this, it was 1.1cm in the middle which I then scored. I then folded the paper as you can see. I then cut the A4 page in half using the markings and the guide on the cutting matt.
This is the fold you need to score and keep as you will need this to glue down to the other half of the paper. I then applied a strip of glue to put it together neatly and then both pieces of paper were attached together. I also made sure it was folded the correct way to then put into the cover.
For the over of this I used some paper, but it would have been better to use card as it is more sturdy. But I cut out 21cm x 12.5cm a cm bigger than the concertina book when folded to make sure it fits nicely in the cover. Then folding the card in half and leaving about a cm for the spine, then glueing the concertina in there neatly. Then cutting out a strip of paper to close it with a slit in the front of the cover.
